Rescue mission carried out by personnel of 48th Battalion ITBP near Sherathang, Sikkim last night at 13,500 feet
- 3 tourist vehicles consisting of 17 tourists (3 children, 4 ladies and 10 men got stranded nearby sherathang on the road due to heavy snow fall.
- On recieving the info last evening, a rescue team of ITBP personnel rushed to the location fully equipped alongwith a recovery vehicle.
- Rescue started at 1800 Hrs. Medication was done to a women and a child who were feeling sick.
- Vehicles were rescued using recovery vehicle and manpower. All were safely evacuated to safety by 10 PM.
